Blaze

15.2hh QH mare. Gorgeous and personable, Blaze was predominantly a backyard trail horse until the age of 11 when I began to focus on eventing with her. Blaze was unfortunately stricken by a couple of health issues and I almost lost her. Luckily, she pulled through and literally jumped back into the game giving a number of riders their start in riding until I took her back on as my main mount. An absolute sweetheart, Blaze is willing, smart and quickly becomes a favourite of everyone. Due to an injury that prevented her from doing the bigger jumps, Blaze was semi-retired once again to being a teacher, a job she absolutely excels at. Blaze's easygoing nature and steady gaits have helped many riders boost their mental and physical skills. A fantastic confidence booster, she is a great partner for someone wanting to learn lower level dressage and jumping or to enjoy trails. She has also had lower level western riders! Blaze has been in my life since she was 2 years old and recently turned 27. She is a prime example of "Age is just a number” as she continues to frolic in fields and teach riders. I am incredibly blessed to have her in my life still❤️

Query

16hh 13yr Thoroughbred mare, Query was bred to race and has many of racing's influential sires in her lineage. When only a year and a half old, Query was part of an SPCA seizure and was in such rough shape that the attending veterinarian recommended euthanasia. Her foster home gave her a good start for a few months and then I was lucky enough to adopt her. Query, or Miss Q as she is fondly referred to, took longer to develop physically due to her poor start in life but I was in no rush. She is both athletic and sensitive so I have to have a sticky seat and be "listening" all the time! Query made her eventing debut in 2018 and was a star, earning compliments from several dressage judges and was very bold cross country. Life threw her a few curveballs so she has been predominantly enjoying the life of a pasture pet the last while and is being gently restarted.

Petunia

13.1 hh 10yr TBxWelshxPeruvian Paso mare...yup, you read that right! This little girl also had a rough start in life and was going to be put down at the age of 13 months until a neighbour took her in. That neighbour gave her a solid start and adored her but realized that she was just that little bit too small for her. She also felt that she was too cute and fancy to be a pack pony! So she gave her to a friend who runs a hunter/jumper barn. That friend put some miles on her but recognized that with her sensitive nature and heavily ingrained reactiveness from her rough beginning, that she really needed her own person. As a coach and a mom, Petunia really was the opposite of a pony that one gets for their 9yr old daughter but Sophia clinched it one day when she said, "I want to help her be brave". Petunia made her showing debut summer of 2019 with both Sophia and an adult student of mine, winning ribbons in both dressage and jumping. Covid and life meant for a quiet few years but they did successfully play on the cross country field at HiPoint for their first time ever last September. School and other commitments means that Petunia is available for that right person to share her with Sophia. Petunia is not a beginner pony but she takes up leg well and can accommodate intermediate riders up to 5’4” easily so small adults are definitely welcome and could have a lot of fun with her.

Sapphire

15.2 9yr Canadian Warmblood mare. Yup, another mare! Sapphire made her hunter/jumper showing debut at the age of 6 in 2019 with her last owner. I bought her to be my main mount as Query has a couple of health issues that will likely prevent her from being my main eventing partner. Like Query, due to life's hurdles over the last while, she has not been in a consistent program. Sapphire is a fantastic mover and very athletic with a number of buttons but needs assistance on how to balance herself under saddle instead of leaning on the bit like she learned to do in her past. She is a super sweet and sensitive mare who thrives with someone who is in tune with their own energy as well as hers and could easily be a fun and competitive partner in a variety of disciplines.

Argo

Follyfoot’s newest member and turning 4 this spring, this cutie-pa-tootie quarter horse is very much a green bean but his laid back personality makes him a fabulous candidate for a capable junior or smaller adult in a program. Do not let his height sway you as he takes up leg exceedingly well! Argo is very sweet and easy to be around; a cute mover who takes everything in stride. We feel very lucky to have him join our family and are looking forward to doing all the things with him: dressage, jumping, eventing, working equitation or enjoying the trails.
